Etymology edit
From a 1927 novel, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, and two films — a 1974 film, Blazing Saddles, which was taken after a 1948 Humphrey Bogart film, which in turn was based on the novel. The original line from the book was "Badges, to god-damned hell with badges! We have no badges. In fact, we don’t need badges. I don’t have to show you any stinking badges […] ", and it shows up in both movies.

- (snowclone) An emphatic way of saying "we don't need X". X can be any plural or singular noun. "Stinking" can take the form of "steenking" or "steenkin'", in imitation of the Mexican accent in which it was said in the movie.
