Uncommonly, Mr (and archaically Mr.) is found as an alternative abbreviation of monsieur; its plural is Mrs. In older French, especially in Louisiana, Guernsey and elsewhere, Messrs (and Messrs.) was found as an alternative plural, i.e. an alternative abbreviation of messieurs.
