@Useigor This is the oldest form, confirmed by the Baltic cognates. The form with -ati is secondary. I think it should be renamed. —Rua (mew) 16:23, 9 June 2019 (UTC)
- @Rua *kovati is somewhat mainstream form and *kuti is dubious. *kovati/*kuti is widely/barely attested, attested/unattested in old languages. Same goes to *žьvati, *bľьvati, *pľьvati, *sovati, [*snovati], ?*zъvati, they're present mostly in West Slavic languages. Other cases (*kryti, *myti, *ryti, *nyti, *byti) have 'y' instead of 'u' (exceptions: ?*řuti, *obuti, [*pluti/*plyti], [*truti/*tryti]). —Игорь Тълкачь (talk) 22:07, 11 June 2019 (UTC)
