The name of a painting. Surely we don't include these. Names of artistic works represent a potentially infinite set where the names don't have to mean anything. We don't have, for example, Laughing Cavalier. Mglovesfun (talk) 21:43, 15 February 2013 (UTC)

Ugh. Was it the Italian Wiktionary that decided to include all book titles? [[The Miao and the Feminine in China's Cultural Politics]], etc? (And did they ultimately reconsider that decision?) I think pretty much all of Category:en:Artistic works needs reviewing. I'm not advocating mindless deletion of all of them, but review. For example Iliad is a single word and has other definitions so I wouldn't nominate that for deletion. Some of the other entries, in my opinion, either need additional figurative meanings or deletion. Mglovesfun (talk) 11:20, 16 February 2013 (UTC)

Delete as encyclopaedic. I would ideally like to delete the items named by Furius, too, though Mona Lisa might deserve a redirect to Wikipedia. Equinox ◑ 04:20, 17 February 2013 (UTC)

• Delete Comment: this seems to be a multi-word proper name that has nothing to recommend itself for keeping. However, we should include the names of paintings that are best suited for storing lexicographical information about them, such as etymology and pronunciation. Later: switching to comment; the deletion can be done with the help of those who want to exclude proper names, of which there should be plenty. --Dan Polansky (talk) 11:21, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
