to crash one’s way edit

Hello. I have a translation exercise to do with "……… crashed its way into ………" (I suppose our teacher is no copyright fanatic but I still prefer not to put the complete sentence, just to be sure). I would translate it (into French) like this "Il s’est frayé un chemin jusqu’aux broussailles", but I am not sure, and since there is no Wiktionary entry for it, I’d like to ask native speakers. And if it has its place here, should it be added to crash or should it become a new page? --Eiku (t) 12:40, 3 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

"Crash one's way" = make one's way with a crashing sound, e.g. an elephant through bushes. Equinox 14:31, 3 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

expand technology sense edit

@-sche Could you modify sense 2 to include a program or website crash? Unless it should be another sense. Ultimateria (talk) 18:59, 19 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Missing noun sense in television? edit

Green's Newspeak (1984) calls it "desperately hurried work against a deadline" (in TV) — so what we would call a crunch in e.g. video game development. I wasn't able to search for this sense effectively. Equinox 18:52, 20 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Return to "crash" page.
