Kept. If we revisit CFI with regard to famous authors' nonces being allowed, please renominate. - -sche (discuss) 03:14, 18 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

The following information has failed Wiktionary's verification process.

Failure to be verified means that insufficient eligible citations of this usage have been found, and the entry therefore does not meet Wiktionary inclusion criteria at the present time. We have archived here the disputed information, the verification discussion, and any documentation gathered so far, pending further evidence.
Do not re-add this information to the article without also submitting proof that it meets Wiktionary's criteria for inclusion.

In addition to the citation from Pynchon, there's a citation from Blissful Bewilderment: Studies in the Fiction of Thomas Pynchon; it's debatable whether it's "independent" of Pynchon for CFI purposes, but even if it is independent, I couldn't find any other citations on Google Books, Groups, or Scholar, or on Issuu. - -sche (discuss) 09:51, 31 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

RFV-failed; moved to Appendix:English nonces.

Archiver note: previously, this met WT:ATTEST and thus would not have failed RFV; things changed in Wiktionary:Votes/pl-2014-03/CFI: Removing usage in a well-known work 3. --Dan Polansky (talk) 07:10, 21 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
