Emergency services slang? edit

An IP added this:

an overenthusiastic amateur in emergency services (volunteer fire, police, EMT) fixated on the “style” who seeks to be “authoritative” or claim exaggerated importance more than actually helping out in a situation. Known for excessively collecting gear, uniforms and vehicles needed to look official.
