Would the affix template you suggested work for this word?

I'd be happy to give feedback, but I won't be able to check every single entry let alone comment on it. I would recommend adding every Wauja page you create/edit to your watchlist (there is a checkbox for it above the button when you save your edits).

The watchlist is available through the link at the top right (next to the contributions link), and it automatically shows any edits that are done to any pages that are on the list. It works like a news feed or a favourites list.

If you check your watchlist regularly (once a day or so) you will be able to see when others have edited Wauja entries. That way you can see what they have changed (using the history/diff button) and that might help you improve things. I could of course notify you when I change one of your entries, but it's easier if you automatically get notified through your watchlist.

Of course you're still free to message me any time you want feedback or have a question, but this should help anyway.

I will do as you suggest. I want to redo all my etymologies with the new template. A few more questions:

1. I notice that some of my suffixes do not have an entry for the suffix form. I'd like to add an entry for each suffix to explain its general meaning, and so when people click on the suffix in the etymology, it goes to a page with information, instead of a deadbeat page like this: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/-naun. Same issue for -tope: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Category:Wauja_words_suffixed_with_-tope. How do I add a non-lemma entry for a suffix or other affix?
2. Also, on this category page https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Category:Wauja_suffixes it says: Wauja suffixes are "Affixes located at the end of Wauja words". Problem is, they often are not at the end of words. I was tempted to change that to "Affixes located after the stem of Wauja words" If I remove {poscatboiler|wau|suffixes} and replace it with my proposed text, will that break some linkages that generate lists and groupings?
3. Finally, I have a fairly large group of verbs that use circumfixes, which modify a stem by simultaneously prefixing with a- and suffixing with –ta (or –tsa). It's comparable to enlighten or embolden in English. See https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/embolden#Etymology. Does it make sense to treat such a form as a single entity, and hope to produce a category page listing "Wauja words circumfixed with a- + -ta/-tsa"? Or should I just have "Wauja words prefixed with a-" listed on one page, and "Wauja words suffixed -ta/-tsa" on another page, and have a note explaining that actually the prefix and suffix must be used together for this form?
4. What would you say are the advantages of the {ux} template over the {usex}? I could not find information on the parameters for {ux}, though I like the way it worked for the yamukunauntope entry.

If I am asking too many questions, let me know, and I will ask in one of the forums. (I don't want to wear out my welcome.) Thanks for your advice.

1. Suffixes themselves are treated as lemmas in their own right, and use the category "suffixes". For non-lemma forms of suffixes themselves, there's the "suffix forms" category.
2. Yes you shouldn't remove the poscatboiler templates or similar templates. But you're right that maybe the text could be reworded. Instead of "located at the end" it should say "added to the end", which is more correct I imagine? The text itself is located at Module:category tree/poscatboiler/data/lemmas if you want to modify it yourself.
3. We have separate categories for circumfixes, like the English one which has an entry at em- -en (so just the prefix and the suffix with a space between) which is located in Category:English circumfixes. And there's also the category Category:English words circumfixed with em- -en, and its parent category Category:English words by circumfix. So as you can see it's very much the same as with prefixes and suffixes. You can't use the {{affix}} template that I showed you for these though, because it's not able to tell when a prefix and a suffix should be seen as one whole. So instead there's another template {{circumfix}} which would be used in this case. It is used like this (with embolden as an example): {{circumfix|em|bold|en|lang=en}}.
4. It's a bit less typing because you don't have to type the parameter names t= and lang=. That's about all, but it is also more esthetically pleasing because having the language code first matches how {{l}} and {{m}} work too.

And you're fine, I don't mind answering these questions at all.

RE: The text itself is located at Module:category tree/poscatboiler/data/lemmas if you want to modify it yourself. I am concerned that if I did that, it might affect other people. I wouldn't want to change something that they are also using. So I just added an explanation to the page after the postcatboiler text.

That page contains the information for various categories, such as which parent they should go in and what description to show. If it's changed, several categories would be affected, but in this case I think that's for the better. I've made the change myself now, you can see what I did. Note that now, Category:Wauja suffixes has a different description, but so do Category:English suffixes, Category:German suffixes and so on. This is why this templated category system is useful; it allows all the categories to be changed simultaneously from one central location.
