- (pharmacology) A mixture of broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotics related to neomycin and produced by some strains of the bacterium Streptomyces rimosus, given orally in the form of the sulfate C23H45N5O14·H2SO4 in the treatment of intestinal amebiasis.
