Etymology edit

Literally, "bearer of nobility". The first component is Middle Persian 𐫀𐫉𐫗 (ʾzn /⁠āzn⁠/, “noble”). The second goes back to Proto-Indo-Iranian *bʰárati with the preverb *aH-.
