πειρητίζω
Ancient Greek
editEtymology
editFormally from *πειρητής (*peirētḗs) (Epic/Ionic form of πειρᾱτής (peirātḗs, “brigand, pirate”)), + -ίζω (-ízō). However the semantics do not correlate with the specialized meaning of the noun, as this verb is simply a synonym of πειράω (peiráō).
