Blend of Доне́цк (Donéck, “Donetsk”) + Зимба́бве (Zimbábve, “Zimbabwe”). References either the poor living conditions in Donetsk People's Republic (akin to those of poor African countries) or the "primitive mind" of its anti-Ukrainian inhabitants.
