From кийин (kiyin, back, after) +‎ -инде (-inde, suffix), Proto-Turkic *ged (back, after). Cognate with Kazakh кейінде (keiınde), Kyrgyz кийинде (kiyinde), Uzbek keyinda, Uyghur keynide, etc.
