Etymology edit
Borrowed from Old Church Slavonic мъногаꙗ лѣта (mŭnogaja lěta). Cognate with Ukrainian мно́гая лі́та (mnóhaja líta). Cf. modern Russian мно́гие го́ды (mnógije gódy), мно́го лет (mnógo let) or less commonly мно́гие ле́та (mnógije léta).
