1. Alternative form of пе́ред (péred, “in front of”), used before awkward consonant clusters and chiefly before мно́ю (mnóju).

   Мій друг сиди́ть пе́реді мно́ю. ― Mij druh sydýtʹ péredi mnóju. ― My friend is sitting in front of me.
