Borrowed from Russian би́ржа (bírža), Ukrainian бі́ржа (bírža). Compare Georgian ბირჟა (birža), Kazakh, Kyrgyz биржа (birja), Latvian birža, Lithuanian bìrža, Uzbek birja. Doublet of בערזע (berze).
