הוּסַב • (husáv) (huf'al construction, active counterpart הֵסֵב)

1. to be turned, changed, altered
2. to be converted, retrained (clarification of this definition is needed)

   הסופר הוסב למועדון אחרי שהבעלים פשטו רגל. ― The supermarket was converted to a club after the owners went out of business.

   הוא הוסב למורה. ― He was retrained as a teacher.

3. (banking) to be endorsed
