  1. First-person singular vav-consecutive imperfect (hence past tense) of יָרַד (yarád).
    • Tanach, Exodus 3:8, with translation of the English Standard Version:
      וָאֵרֵד לְהַצִּילוֹ מִיַּד מִצְרַיִם
      vaeréd l'hatsiló miyád mitsráyim
      and I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians
