וְשָׁאֲלָה • (v'shaalá)

1. Third-person feminine singular vav-consecutive perfect (hence future tense) of שָׁאַל (shaál).
   • Tanach, Exodus 3:22, with translation of the Jewish Publication Society:

     וְשָׁאֲלָה אִשָּׁה מִשְּׁכֶנְתָּהּ וּמִגָּרַת בֵּיתָהּ כְּלֵי כֶסֶף וּכְלֵי זָהָב וּשְׂמָלֹת

     v'shaalá ishá mish'chentáh umigarát betáh k'lé chésef uchlé zaháv usmalót

     but every woman shall ask of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment
