  דכד מקוומלא מנד זמרי בר סלוא סרדארת שוטד שמעון, דזניליה אמד כוזבי בת צור סרדארת מדין. ו קמליה אילה פינחס בר אלעזר וקטילילה זנאיא וזניתא. ו נפליה מותאנא בשוטד שמעון ו מתלו מניהון אסרי ו ארבא אלפיה גוריה מגנאהד דידה.
  dəxxəd mqōwəmla mənnəd zəmri bər sālu sardārət šūṭəd šəmʿon, d-znēle ʾəmməd kozbi baṯ ṣūr sardārət məḏyan. ʾu-qəmle ʾīle pənḥas bər ʾəlʿāzar ʾu-qṭilīle zanāya ʾu-zanēṯa. ʾu-npəlle mōṯāna b-šūṭəd šəmʿon ʾu-mətlu mənnēhun ʾəsri ʾu-ʾarba ʾalpe gure m-günāhəd dīde.
  Just as it happened with Zimri son of Salu, a prince of the tribe of Shimon, that he committed adultery with Kozbi daughter of Sur, a prince[ss] of Midyan. And Pinhas son of Elazar got up and killed the adulterer and the adulteress. And a plague fell upon the tribe of Shimon and twenty-four thousand of their men died because of his sin.
