Inherited from Proto-Turkic *adak. Cognate with Old Turkic 𐰑𐰴 (adaq), Chuvash ура (ura), Turkish ayak (“leg, foot”), Uzbek oyoq, Bashkir аҙаҡ (aźaq), аяҡ (ayaq) and Yakut атак (atak).
