      از مغرب قافله‌ای عظیم آمده بود. و آن سال به در مدینه شریفه عرب از ایشان خفارت خواست به گاه بازگشتن از حج و میان ایشان جنگ برخاست و از مغربیان زیادت از دو هزار آدمی کشته شد و بسی به مغرب نشدند.
      az mağrib qāfilayē azīm āmada būd. wa ān sāl ba dar-i madīna-yi šarīfa arab az ēšān xufārat xwāst ba gāh-i bāzgaštan az hajj u miyān-i ēšān jang barxāst u az mağribīyān ziyādat az du hazār ādamī kušta šud u basē ba mağrib na-šudand.
      A grand caravan had arrived from the Maghreb. And that year, at the gate of the Noble City [of Mecca], the Bedouins demanded protection money for their return from the hajj pilgrimage. A battle broke out between the two, and more than two thousand men out of the Maghrebis were killed. Many did not return to the Maghreb.
