Inherited from Common Turkic *yōkad- (“to perish”). Related to يوق (yōq, “there isn't”).

يُوقاذْماقْ (yōqāδmāq) (third-person singular aorist يُوقاذُورْ (yōqāδūr))
- (intransitive) to perish
- يَلِنكُقْ اُغْلٖى يُوقاذُورْ اَذْكُو اَتٖى قَلٖيرْ ― Yalïŋuq oğlï̄ yōqāδūr eδgǖ ātï̄ qalï̄r. ― The children of the men perish but their good name remains.
