Inherited from Common Turkic *yōkad- (to perish). Related to يوق (yōq, there isn't).

يُوقاذْماقْ (yōqāδmāq) (third-person singular aorist يُوقاذُورْ (yōqāδūr))

  1. (intransitive) to perish
    يَلِنكُقْ اُغْلٖى يُوقاذُورْ اَذْكُو اَتٖى قَلٖيرْYalïŋuq oğlï̄ yōqāδūr eδgǖ ātï̄ qalï̄r.The children of the men perish but their good name remains.
