      هُوَ ٱلَّذِي يُسَيِّرُكُمْ فِي ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ ۖ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنْتُمْ فِي ٱلْفُلْكِ وَجَرَيْنَ بِهِم بِرِيحٍ طَيِّبَةٍ وَفَرِحُوا بِهَا جَاءَتْهَا رِيحٌ عَاصِفٌ وَجَاءَهُمُ ٱلْمَوْجُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُمْ أُحِيطَ بِهِمْ ۙ دَعَوُا ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ لَئِنْ أَنْجَيْتَنَا مِنْ هَٰذِهِ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلشَّاكِرِينَ
      huwa llaḏī yusayyiru-kum fī l-barri wa-l-baḥri ḥattā ʔiḏā kuntum fī l-fulki wa-jarayna bi-him bi-rīḥin ṭayyibatin wa-fariḥū bi-hā jāʔat-hā rīḥun ʕāṣifun wa-jāʔa-humu l-mawju min kulli makānin wa-ẓannū ʔanna-hum ʔuḥīṭa bi-him daʕawu llāha muḵliṣīna la-hu d-dīna la-ʔin ʔanjayta-nā min hāḏihī lanakūnanna mina š-šākirīna
      It is He who enables you to travel on land and sea until, when you are sailing on ships and rejoicing in the favourable wind: a storm arrives: waves come at those on board from all sides and they assume they are doomed. (لا) They cry out to God in sincere devotion, “If You save us from this, we will be truly thankful.”[1]
