Etymology edit

Inherited from Ashokan Prakrit *𑀆𑀘𑁆𑀙𑀫𑁆𑀪 (*ācchambha). Turner suggests a relation to Sanskrit आस्कभ्नाति (āskabhnāti, to firmly fix). Cognate with Marathi अचंबा (acambā).
