Etymology edit

Inherited from Old Marathi 𑘁𑘽𑘠𑘩 (āṃdhala), from Maharastri Prakrit 𑀅𑀁𑀥𑀮 (aṃdhala) (with Middle Indo-Aryan -𑀮- (-la-)) + Middle Indo-Aryan -𑀓- (-ka-), from Sanskrit अन्ध (andhá). Cognate with Konkani आंधळो (āndhḷo), Gujarati આંધળું (ā̃dhaḷũ), Hindustani अंधा (andhā) / اَنْدَھا (andhā).
