Etymology edit

From भोग (bhog, enjoyment, pleasure, partaking, using) +‎ -णे (-ṇe, verbal suffix). Compare Old Marathi 𑘥𑘻𑘐𑘜𑘹 (bhogaṇe), Gujarati ભોગવવું (bhogavvũ), Hindi भोगना (bhognā).
