Etymology edit

Inherited from Old Marathi 𑘭𑘻𑘩𑘜𑘹 (solaṇe), from Maharastri Prakrit 𑀙𑁄𑀮𑁆𑀮𑀇 (chollaï). Cognate with Gujarati છોલવું (cholvũ), Hindi छोलना (cholnā). Compare Kannada ಸುಲಿ (suli), Bengali ছুলা (chula).
