Etymology edit

Inherited from Old Marathi 𑘭𑘻𑘮𑘩𑘰 (sohalā), 𑘭𑘻𑘮𑘯𑘰 (sohaḷā). Compare Hindi सुहेला (suhelā), Braj सुहेलौ (suhelau, agreeable (season, time); auspicious), Old Punjabi ਸੁਹੀਆ (suhīā, prostration, greeting), Assamese শুবলা (xubola, pleasing to the ear; elegant).
