Etymology edit

Probably inherited from Prakrit *𑀑𑀮𑁆𑀮 (*ŏlla), from Sanskrit उल्व (úlva, cover, envelope; womb, embryonic membrane; vulva). Cognate with Odia ହୋଲ (holô, testicle) and related to Hindustani होलड़ / هولڑ (holaṛ, foetus, newborn).
