1. (countable) desire, expectation, ambition

   ਇਕਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਿਲ ਹਿਰਸਾਂ ਸੜਿਆ ― ikanā̃ dā dil hirsā̃ saṛiā ― Everyone's heart burned with desires.

2. greed, avarice, covetousness, avidity, eagerness, cupidity
3. lust, lasciviousness, lecherousness
