- ጸሐፉ፡ ጸሓፊያነ፡ ንጉሠ፡ ዮናን፡ ኵሎ፡ መጻሕፍቲሆሙ፡ በለሳኖሙ፡ ወእምደኀሬዝ፡ ተርጐምነ፡ መጻሕፍቲሆሙ፡ እምለሳነ፡ ዮናናዊያን፡ ለለሳነ፡ ግዕዝ። ― ṣäḥäfu ṣäḥafiyanä nəguśä yonan kʷəlo mäṣaḥfətihomu bäläsanomu wäʾmədäḫärez tärgʷämnä mäṣaḥfətihomu ʾəmläsanä yonanawiyan läläsanä gəʿz. ― The writers of the king of Greece wrote all their books in their language, and afterwards we translated all of their books from the language of the Greeks into the language of Ge'ez.
