Etymology

Generally considered to changed from あります (arimasu).

Had been occupational dialect used by prostitutes in Edo.

ありんす • (arinsu) 

1. (dialectal, obsolete) Nonstandard form of あります (arimasu, polite form of ある (aru, “to exist”); polite assertion). [18th–19th c.]
   • 1781, Koikawa Harumachi, Mudaiki (無益委記):

     なんだか、ご法(ほふ)事(じ)にあふやうでありんす

     Nandaka, go-hōji ni au yō de arinsu

     Somehow, I'm feeling like I meet a memorial service.
