Rarely found with the kanji spelling 襯衣:

もっとも(おどろ)いたのはこの(あつ)いのにフランネルの襯衣(シャツ)()ている。
Motto mo odoroita no wa kono atsui no ni furanneru no shatsu o kite iru.
But what surprised me most was that he wore a flannel shirt in this hot weather.
