Usage notes edit

  • This form is found virtually only in Hwanghae province, including the islands of Baengnyeong, Yeonpyeong and Daecheong in South Korea which was culturally, linguistically and historically a part of South Hwanghae Province, and have a large refugee community from historical Hwanghae province. It is also recorded in the dialect of Northwestern Gyeonggi (Ganghwa), though it is now increasingly obsolete.
