암퇘지
Korean edit
Etymology edit
Of native Korean origin. From 암 (am, “female”) + 돼지 (dwaeji, “pig”). The word 돼지 (dwaeji) was made into 퇘지 (twaeji), because 아ᇡ (amh) is the older form of 암 (am).
Pronunciation edit
- (SK Standard/Seoul) IPA(key): [a̠mtʰwɛd͡ʑi] ~ [a̠mtʰwe̞d͡ʑi]
- Phonetic hangul: [암퇘지/암퉤지]
