Usage notes

After North Korea's abandonment of peaceful reunification, the term 애국가 (Aegukga) appears to have fallen out of use in North Korean state media, being replaced by 조선민주주의인민공화국 국가 (朝鮮民主主義人民共和國 國歌, Joseonminjujuuiinmin'gonghwaguk gukga, “National Anthem of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea”).
