The most common words still in use from Arawakan languages are tobacco (which may be from Arabic, instead), potato, maize and canoe, followed by hurricane and mangrove. The most common from a Cariban language is plantain. - -sche (discuss) 08:09, 18 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
