editWikipedia claims that this is a former civil parish, and the Duddon Parish Council website also errs here, saying it was formed in 1976, incorporating the "old parishes" of Broughton West and two others. Broughton West parish was still electing councillors to Duddon Parish Council in 2019, so it must still exist.
