editFirst attested as Kortonjo in 1907. Compound of Cor (“a personal name”), Ton (“a personal name”) and Jo (“a personal name”). Named after a villa built by notary Joseph Fens (1846-1917); the name of the house is composed of the shortened forms of his name and that of his wife Cornelia and son Anton.
