Noun edit

LOLBin (plural LOLBins)

  1. (computer security) An executable that is deployed as part of a system but may be co-opted by an attacker to perform harmful actions.
    • 2021, Mark Ciampa, CompTIA Security + Guide to Network Security Fundamentals, page 72:
Several LOLBins have extensive control and authority on a computer. For example, PowerShell has full access to the core OS of a Windows computer, so it can undermine existing security features.
