By surface analysis, *sik- +‎ *-ъ. See *sьcati (to piss). Roots *sьk- : *sěk- : *sik-, from Proto-Balto-Slavic *sik- : *saik- : *seik-, from Proto-Indo-European *sikʷ- : *soykʷ- : *seykʷ- (to moisten).
