Why do we reconstruct this noun (and other words derived from this root) with *h₂? I can't seem to find any evidence for it. Am I just missing something? Dghmonwiskos (talk) 22:31, 1 March 2018 (UTC)

@Dghmonwiskos: The root is traditionally reconstructed (also in Wiktionary) with a closing laryngeal, though this reconstruction is now considered obsolete. See Kümmel. --Florian Blaschke (talk) 02:11, 3 October 2019 (UTC)
