Weird Southern Amami palatalization?

The Ogami evidence provided by Pellard (2013) supports reconstruction of pR *ero, but for some reason both Koniya and Shodon (2 Southern Amami dialects) palatalize. Usually this happens after pR *i-, but not at *e-. Chuterix (talk) 17:32, 4 November 2023 (UTC)
