Not proto?

Given the apparently sparse attestation of this in Ryukyuan, can we safely reconstruct this to the proto level? Might this instead be a later borrowing from Japanese? ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │^{Tala við mig} 18:08, 7 June 2023 (UTC)

I don't know. There's no *tanushan in Okinawan, so it's probably a borrowing. But Ryukyuan resources are also sparse, at least until mid-2024. Chuterix (talk) 18:49, 7 June 2023 (UTC)
