I disagree with this comment. This is no such distinction made in French rhymes. However, there is a traditional distinction between feminine rhymes (such as aide: mute e) and masculine rhymes (such as bled: no mute e). This may be a reason for considering they are not rhymes. But it's simpler to group feminine rhymes and masculine rhymes: it's up to poets to choose rules they prefer. Lmaltier (talk) 17:25, 1 January 2013 (UTC)

In Belgian French, aide is simply not pronounced as bled. The same is true for maître and mettre, but you probably already know it. --Fsojic (talk) 17:55, 1 January 2013 (UTC)
