@KoreanQuoter Thanks for thanking me but re: diff why did you change it in the first place? --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 03:26, 18 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

I thought it would be similar to the Japanese pronunciation. I was wrong. I think I will have to revert the pronunciation in Саппоро. --KoreanQuoter (talk) 03:30, 18 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
It's probably optional in Саппоро. I've just done it. It was made by Cinemantique (no gemination) originally. You don't have to "fix" after native speakers. :) --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 03:39, 18 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. --KoreanQuoter (talk) 03:40, 18 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
You probably wonder why Саппоро is different from Хоккайдо. In Саппоро the stress falls immediately before the double consonant. In such positions the gemination is more likely. "кк" and "гг" are seldom geminated and never in pre-tonal positions, unless there's a morpheme boundary, as in оргкомитет. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 03:44, 18 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
Also in пакга́уз (pakgáuz), even though the morphemes are not native, from German Рackhaus. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 03:46, 18 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
Now it's clearer to me. --KoreanQuoter (talk) 03:47, 18 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
