English translation

I believe the usage of "moiety" to mean "half" in English is exceedingly rare. In fact, so unusual, that it should not be included here. Spanish "medio"/"mitad" don't mention "moiety". German "Hälfte" doesn't mention "moiety". Those are popular languages on wiktionary.

If you are referring to the other meaning of moiety: "(chemistry) A specific segment of a molecule" that should be another definition entry 1 2 3 4, and not placed next to "half", if indeed the chemical definition is intended. Sdarwin2 (talk) 12:02, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
