Derivation method

The word בנאי was not derived from the suffix ־ַאי, but from the template (or mishkal) קַטָּל.

First, in the word we have a dagesh at the נ, which does not exist in the verb.

Second, in Hebrew we can't attach derivational suffixes to the verbs 2A10:800B:72E7:0:58A0:A16:22FB:9E02 21:27, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
