Any relation with Arabic غَنِيّ (ḡaniyy, “rich”)? Phonetically they seem identical (as ayn and ghayn merge in Hebrew) and semantically they are also similar if only because they are antonyms. Probably coincidence, right? 77.13.163.50 20:21, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
